365 Lolita Lifestyle Challenge: Day 2

I used this Wikipedia list of museums in Stockholm. I only brought up the interesting ones.

  • Almgrens sidenväveri & museum - now THIS I had never heard of! It's just a couple of minutes walk from my school and a silk weaving factory from the 1800s is well within my line of interest!
  • Edvard Anderssons växthus - maybe, an orangery might just end up be disappointing.
  • Armémuseum - I've actually worked here! Though I haven't visited for a year which is a shame.
  • Birkamuseet - far to get there but interesting!
  • Bolindermuseet - small thing, might be interesting.
  • Dansmuseet - I need to visit someday!
  • Drottningholms slott + slottsteater - also far away, maybe 1,5 h even if I'm unlycky but def a must-do!
  • Etnografiska - nice museum, I visit it maybe once/twice a year.
  • Gustav IIIs antikmuseum - omg must visit.
  • Gustav IIIs paviljong - yes!
  • Gustavsbergs porslinsmuseum - a bit quirky, might end up great might end up super dissappointing for the long road to even get there.
  • Hagalunds tvätterimuseum - omfg BLESS a museum about washing???? sign me tf up
  • Hallwylska palatset - I can't believe another year passed and I still haven't visited this museum WHATS WRONG WITH ME THIS IS EVERYTHING I LOVE
  • Historiska - This past year I worked with them for the exhibition Hidden Stories, so there's actually two quotes by me mounted on the halls in their permanent exhibition on Swedish history as a timeline.
  • Judiska museet - must visit to honour my heritage!
  • Kina slott - a rococo wannabee-Asian castle must visit.
  • Kungliga myntkabinettet - yes!
  • Litografiska museet - sounds interesting
  • Livrustkammaren - my absolute favourite museum <3 pls hire me
  • Museet för drottning Kristinas kröningsekipage - this is literally a museum for a nice ride. Literally.
  • Nationalmuseum - haven't visited yet, on my list though.
  • Nobelmuseet - on my list.
  • Nordiska museet - I visited once during a super short visit on less than an hour. I want to go back and stare more at pretty textiles and jewellery.
  • Postmuseum - sounds cute, the Swedish postal service is the oldest stately opened ...thing... still in use, though not owned by the state anymore.
  • Rosendals slott - yes!
  • Skansen - oh man
  • Skattkammaren - yes!
  • Skoklosters slott - more castles!
  • Medeltidsmuseet - on my list!
  • Stockholms slott - brace yourselves they have a 45 minute outside queue
  • Svindersvik - omg
  • Museum Tre Kronor - I didn't know about this, interesting though!
  • Tullmuseet - perfect lolita meetup: "meetup at the customs museum wear the piece you've paid the highest customs for".
  • Ulriksdals slott - another castle, I've been to the theater but not the actual castle.
  • Vasamuseet - cool museum though not really something I'd think of revisiting though?
  • Vaxholms fästningsmuseum - I love old stone buildings with cannons.
  • Östasiatiska museet - been there once when they had the Secret Love exhibition.

365 Lifestyle Lolita Challenge: Day 1

I found it just in time to be midnight and already 2/1 but oh well, I'm going to try to write about this challenge here to practice my writing and to participate as often as I can, though maybe I'll skip/replace some dates to fit my schedule/battery.

My wardrobe goals for this year is to have a cohesive and comfortable wardrobe through which I can wear lolita 10 days in a row during both winter and summer without running out of blouses, as well as ouji/aristocrat for 10 days in a row during both winter and summer.

I'll try to acquire more Moitié, Juliette et Justine, Excentrique, Innocent World and Atelier Boz. Not to mention Grimoire and abilletage. I'm finally starting to fight with my body complexes to try to get more masculine clothing, though I'll probably need to sew almost everything because of my size (not even H&M male sizes fits comfortably since I'm so effeminate).

I'll try to focus on the kind of items that fits comfortably as well as what I deem looks the most elegant, such as high-neck collared (cotton or similar) blouses are by far the absolute most comfortable AND most elegant blouses in my opinion. I want to focus more on looking elegant rather than cute (or find a nice mix of the two).

Swap meet!

Yesterday my comm had a swap meet, the place had to be changed due to unfortunate events (Dolly Style....), but the new place had quite it's charm being furnished as if an old man had lived there during the 80s and it had been untouched since then. I didn't get much pictures, but we had a lot of fun! I was there together with my girlfriend an hour earlier to help set up tables and get everything in order, so I got to hog 1 of the 3 tables available (some people had to lay out their stuff on chairs). You had to walk through another room to get to were we had the sales tables/chairs, in that room there was low table, a couch and some chairs were we had our fikarum (except Teppo who had her sale chairs there).

At "my" table we had a bit of chaos as 6 different people had their stuff laid for sale there, in different layers even. When newcomers asked how the swap meet worked we said "pick up a thing, hold it up and shout 'who's selling this?!?!!' and someone will know".

Before people arrived, when Maria were setting up her table (her pictures from the meetup here) I noticed she pulled up this huge stack of GLBs, which I bought right on the spot. Which I'm super glad I did because this stack included the first 15 issues in perfect condition including the patterns! (Which I told literally everyone about the minute they arrived.)

I myself brought 3 wigs, some old accessories, a Maxicimam headbow, a coat I had remade last year to fit my then lolita wardrobe and a soft corset I made in 2013, one of the first things I sowed that I still thinks looks remotely well made. I managed to sell the coat, 2 wigs and some of the accessories, I came home with a lot more than I went there to get rid off.

A lot of people didn't get proper pictures sadly, Gabriel looked absolutely stunning and once again we matched perfectly. Such a shame.

Bella and Camilla standing behind our table of chaos.

I cosplayed Pastelbat on Melty's idea. Some were traumatized.

My haul! Two antiques, lots of GLBs and other magazines, an oldschool Baby pouch and MeltyChocolateMoon's latest pin: Elitist Bitch, which were made the day before for this meetup.

300 SEK for all of these (minus GLB 16, 42, 50)!

Now I can cry over 2001 Mana with the original publications.
